Acrylic-Styrene Emulsion for Metal Primers
Acrylic-Styrene Emulsion for Metal Primers is a specially engineered styrene-acrylic copolymer emulsion incorporating phosphate functional monomers and built-in adhesion promoters, enabling direct-to-metal (DTM) primer-topcoat systems on ferrous and non-ferrous substrates without mechanical surface preparation. The phosphate groups chemisorb on metal oxide surfaces, providing strong interfacial adhesion, corrosion inhibition, and flash-rust resistance that is absent in conventional styrene-acrylic emulsions. Designed for waterborne metal protection coatings replacing solvent-borne alkyd and epoxy primers.
