Anti-Haze Additive GMS for Agricultural PE Film
CAS Number: 31566-31-1
Glycerol monostearate (GMS) is an internal antifogging agent for agricultural polyethylene greenhouse film that migrates from the bulk polymer to the film surface, forming a hydrophilic layer that causes condensed water to spread into a thin transparent sheet rather than form light-scattering droplets. This improves total light transmission by 5–15% and raises crop yield and quality by maintaining optimal growing conditions. Recommended loading is 0.5–1.5% in LDPE and EVA greenhouse films.
