Calcium Drier
CAS Number: 3712-53-6
A calcium octoate auxiliary drier that promotes through-drying and prevents wrinkling in oil-based ink and varnish films by counteracting the rapid surface-drying effect of primary driers. Calcium drier functions as an activator and promoter rather than a direct oxidation catalyst, improving the overall efficiency of cobalt and manganese driers. Its use enables reduced primary drier levels, lowering formulation costs and environmental footprint.
