Alpha Copper Phthalocyanine (PB 15:1)

CAS Number: 147-14-8

Alpha copper phthalocyanine (Pigment Blue 15:1) is the reddish-blue phase of CuPc, stabilized with small amounts of phase-directing agents to prevent conversion to the beta polymorph. It is widely used in printing inks, particularly gravure and offset inks where a slightly reddish undertone in blue is desired. Chemzip supplies PB 15:1 in standardized grades suitable for waterborne and solventborne ink and coating systems.
