Halloysite Nanotube

CAS Number: 1332-58-7

Halloysite nanotubes (HNT) are naturally occurring aluminosilicate clay minerals with a distinctive hollow tubular morphology, offering a low-cost, eco-friendly alternative to synthetic nanofillers. The unique lumen structure enables loading of active agents such as corrosion inhibitors, biocides, or flame retardants for controlled release applications. As a reinforcing nanofiller, HNTs significantly improve mechanical properties, thermal stability, and barrier performance in polymer composites and coating systems.

Technical Specifications
