HALS (Hindered Amine Light Stabilizer)

CAS Number: 52829-07-9

Bis(2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-4-piperidyl) sebacate (HALS-770) is a low-molecular-weight hindered amine light stabilizer that quenches free radicals generated by UV radiation in coatings, plastics, and fibers. Unlike UV absorbers, HALS interrupts the photo-oxidation chain reaction without directly absorbing UV light, and is regenerated during the stabilization cycle for sustained long-term performance. It is widely used in outdoor applications where extended weathering resistance is required.
