Ink pH Buffer Amine (AMP-95 / TEA)
CAS Number: 124-68-5
2-Amino-2-methyl-1-propanol (AMP-95) is a multifunctional amine used as a pH buffer in water-based flexographic and gravure inks. It maintains ink pH in the optimal 8–9 range, improving pigment dispersion stability and binder solubility. Unlike ammonia, AMP-95 has low volatility, reducing odor complaints and viscosity drift on press.
