Naphthalene Sulfonate Formaldehyde (SNF Superplasticizer)

CAS Number: 9084-06-4

Naphthalene Sulfonate Formaldehyde (SNF) is a second-generation anionic superplasticizer produced by sulfonation of naphthalene followed by condensation with formaldehyde. It provides water reduction of 15–25% at dosages of 0.5–1.5% by weight of cement, and is compatible with all Portland cement types, slag, and fly ash blends. SNF powder grades offer excellent shelf stability and are widely used in precast concrete, ready-mix concrete, and dry-mix mortar systems.
