Zinc Oxide (Functional Grade)

CAS Number: 1314-13-2

Functional-grade zinc oxide is a multifunctional white pigment and active ingredient used in anti-corrosion, antimicrobial, and UV-protective coatings. In marine and industrial primers, it acts as an anti-corrosion pigment and mildew inhibitor; its UV absorption capability also protects underlying substrates from photodegradation. Fine-particle zinc oxide provides high surface area for enhanced reactivity and compatibility with alkyd, epoxy, and rubber coating systems.
