Polyalphaolefin Drag Reducer / Flow Improver

Polyalphaolefin (PAO) drag reducer is a high-molecular-weight viscoelastic polymer that significantly reduces turbulent friction losses in crude oil and refined product pipelines, increasing throughput by 10–60% or reducing pump energy consumption. It is supplied as a slurry dispersion for easy injection into pipelines and is effective at concentrations of 2–20 ppm. Compatible with most crude oil types and refined petroleum products.

Applications

  • Crude oil pipeline drag reduction
  • Refined product pipeline throughput enhancement
  • Pump energy consumption reduction
  • Pipeline debottlenecking without additional pumping
  • Offshore pipeline flow assurance

Key Features

  • 10–60% pipeline throughput increase at low dosage
  • Slurry form for direct injection without dissolution equipment
