Epoxidized Soybean Oil (ESBO)

CAS Number: 8013-07-8

Epoxidized Soybean Oil (ESBO) is a bio-derived secondary plasticizer and PVC heat stabilizer that functions synergistically with calcium-zinc and barium-zinc stabilizer systems. It effectively scavenges hydrogen chloride released during PVC degradation, prolonging thermal stability and extending service life. ESBO is widely accepted in food-contact PVC applications including gaskets and closure liners.
