K-Acid (8-Amino-1-Naphthol-5-Sulfonic Acid)
CAS Number: 119-40-4
K-Acid (8-amino-1-naphthol-5-sulfonic acid) is a naphthalene-based dye intermediate used in the synthesis of azo dyes with red and bordeaux hues, particularly for chrome and metal-complex dye systems that exhibit excellent lightfastness on wool and leather. Its structural isomerism relative to H-Acid provides complementary reactivity for dye systems requiring high fastness to light and perspiration. Chemzip supplies K-Acid to specialty dye manufacturers.
