Waterborne Epoxy-Acrylic Hybrid Resin

Waterborne Epoxy-Acrylic Hybrid Resin is a self-emulsifying aqueous dispersion in which an epoxy backbone is grafted with acrylic functionality, combining the superior adhesion and corrosion resistance of epoxy systems with the UV stability, gloss retention, and film flexibility characteristic of acrylic resins. Supplied as a two-component system — epoxy-acrylic dispersion (Part A) and waterborne amine hardener (Part B) — it is designed for industrial maintenance coatings requiring direct-to-metal adhesion, chemical resistance, and outdoor durability without solvent-borne formulation. Pot life after mixing is typically 4–8 hours at 25°C.

Aplicaciones

  • Industrial maintenance direct-to-metal (DTM) coatings
  • Anti-corrosion primers and topcoats for steel structures
  • Chemical plant and warehouse floor coatings
  • Marine and offshore equipment coatings
  • Waterborne two-component protective coatings

Características Principales

  • Waterborne Epoxy-Acrylic Hybrid Resin combines epoxy corrosion resistance with acrylic UV stability in a single waterborne system
  • Self-emulsifying — no external surfactant required, reducing water sensitivity of cured film
  • Two-component system cures at ambient temperature for industrial application convenience
  • Significantly lower VOC than solvent-borne epoxy or alkyd systems, meeting strict environmental regulations
