Adenosine is a naturally occurring purine nucleoside that plays a critical role in cellular energy transfer (as a precursor to ATP) and is used in cosmetics for its well-documented ability to stimulate collagen and elastin synthesis, reduce wrinkle depth, and improve skin firmness.
