Chromic Acid Passivation Agent

Chromic acid passivation agent based on hexavalent chromium produces a highly protective, self-healing chromate conversion coating on zinc, aluminum, cadmium, and magnesium substrates. The chromate film provides outstanding corrosion resistance, excellent adhesion for subsequent coatings, and a characteristic yellow iridescent appearance. Due to regulatory restrictions (RoHS, REACH), its use is increasingly limited to aerospace and defense applications requiring maximum corrosion performance.
