Benzotriazole (BZT) Corrosion Inhibitor
CAS Number: 95-14-7
Benzotriazole is a widely used copper and yellow metal corrosion inhibitor for cooling water systems, closed loops, and antifreeze applications. It adsorbs onto copper surfaces to form a monomolecular protective layer that is highly resistant to oxidation and thermal degradation. BZT is one of the most cost-effective corrosion inhibitors for non-ferrous metals in aqueous systems.
