Sodium Sulfite Oxygen Scavenger
CAS Number: 7757-83-7
Sodium sulfite is a chemical oxygen scavenger widely used in boiler water and steam systems to remove dissolved oxygen and prevent oxygen-induced corrosion. It reacts rapidly with dissolved oxygen to form non-corrosive sodium sulfate. Sodium sulfite is the most cost-effective oxygen scavenger for low- to medium-pressure boiler systems operating below 60 bar.
