Para-Phenylenediamine (PPD)
CAS Number: 106-50-3
Para-phenylenediamine (PPD) is a critical aromatic diamine used extensively as an oxidative hair dye intermediate and as a bifunctional building block for high-performance azo dyes, engineering polymers, and rubber antiozonants. Its two amino groups enable unique dye structures including bis-azo dyes and reactive dyes with excellent wash fastness. Chemzip supplies PPD in technical and refined grades for the dye and cosmetic industries.
