Precipitated Silica (Rubber Filler)

CAS Number: 112926-00-8

Precipitated Silica is a high-performance reinforcing filler for rubber, particularly used in green tire technology to reduce rolling resistance while maintaining wet traction. When used with a silane coupling agent (e.g., Si69), it forms strong silica-polymer bonds that improve tensile strength, tear resistance, and abrasion resistance. Silica-reinforced compounds offer the best balance of performance for passenger tire treads.
