Beta-Glucan is a polysaccharide derived from oat bran (Avena sativa) or yeast, recognized as one of the most effective skin-soothing, moisturizing, and immunomodulating actives available, with the unique ability to activate skin Langerhans cells and macrophage receptors to stimulate natural wound healing and skin defense responses. It provides deep hydration, reduces skin redness and sensitivity, and accelerates wound healing. Used at 0.1–1% in soothing, healing, and barrier-strengthening formulations.
