Adhesion Promoter
CAS Number: 919-30-2
Amino-functional silane adhesion promoter (3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane, APTES) that dramatically improves the adhesion of coatings, adhesives, and sealants to glass, metal, and mineral substrates. It forms a chemical bridge between the inorganic substrate and the organic coating or adhesive. Particularly effective as a primer or in-can additive for improving adhesion on difficult substrates.
