Calcium Stearate
CAS Number: 1592-23-0
Calcium Stearate is a versatile metallic soap used as an internal and external lubricant, acid scavenger, and release agent in PVC and polyolefin processing. In PVC formulations it acts as a co-stabilizer alongside zinc stearate, helping to prevent early discoloration by neutralizing HCl. It also improves mold release and reduces friction between polymer chains during extrusion and calendering.
