Azodicarbonamide (ADC) Foaming Agent

CAS Number: 123-77-3

Azodicarbonamide (ADC), commonly known as AC blowing agent, is the most widely used chemical foaming agent in the plastics and rubber industry. It decomposes at 195–210°C to release nitrogen, carbon dioxide, and carbon monoxide gases, creating a uniform closed-cell foam structure. Activators such as zinc oxide can lower the decomposition temperature to 150–160°C for use in lower-temperature polymers.
