Dicumyl Peroxide (DCP) Cross-linking Agent

CAS Number: 80-43-3

Dicumyl peroxide (DCP) is a di-functional organic peroxide widely used as a cross-linking agent for polyethylene (XLPE), silicone rubber, EPDM, EVA, and natural rubber. Upon thermal decomposition at 120–180°C, it generates free radicals that create covalent C-C cross-links between polymer chains, significantly improving heat resistance, mechanical strength, and chemical resistance.
