Rubber Antioxidant 6PPD

CAS Number: 793-24-8

Antioxidant 6PPD (N-(1,3-dimethylbutyl)-N'-phenyl-p-phenylenediamine) is the most widely used p-phenylenediamine antidegradant in rubber, providing outstanding protection against ozone cracking, flex cracking, heat aging, and oxidation. It is standard in tire compounds, conveyor belts, and engineering rubber goods. 6PPD migrates to the rubber surface to react with ozone before it can attack the polymer backbone.
