Titanium Dioxide Anatase
CAS Number: 1317-70-0
Titanium Dioxide Anatase is the softer, more photoreactive crystal form of TiO2, providing excellent whiteness and brightness primarily in interior coatings, paper, fiber, and cosmetic applications where the higher photocatalytic activity of rutile is not required. Its finer crystal structure and lower abrasiveness make it suitable for paper delustering and textile fiber spinning applications. Chemzip supplies anatase TiO2 for paper, fiber, and specialty coating manufacturers.
Technical Specifications
| appearance | White free-flowing powder |
| TiO2 content (%) | ≥98.0 |
| whiteness (R457) | ≥97.0 |
| oil absorption (g/100g) | 18–28 |
Applications
- Interior architectural paint for high whiteness
- Paper coating and paper manufacturing whitening agent
- Synthetic fiber (polyester, nylon) delustering agent
- Cosmetic formulation (sunscreen, powder makeup)
- Ceramic and enamel whitening filler
Key Features
- High whiteness ≥97 R457 for top-tier interior paint brightness
- Fine crystal structure reduces abrasiveness on paper-making equipment
- Lower refractive index vs. rutile results in soft, non-bluish white appearance
- Suitable for fiber-grade spinning without excessive filter plugging
