Zirconium passivation agent based on zirconyl nitrate or hexafluorozirconic acid forms a thin, dense zirconium oxide conversion layer on aluminum, steel, and zinc substrates. This chromate-free technology provides excellent corrosion resistance, outstanding paint adhesion, and minimal environmental impact with near-zero sludge generation. The zirconium conversion coating has become the standard pre-treatment for aluminum coil coating and automotive multi-metal pre-treatment systems.
