Antistatic Agent for Plastics
CAS Number: 4292-10-8
Antistatic agents for plastics are surface-active additives that dissipate static electricity build-up on plastic surfaces by forming a thin, hygroscopic layer that conducts charge away. They are classified as internal (compounded into the resin) or external (applied to the surface). Internal types such as glycerol monostearate and ethoxylated amines migrate continuously to the surface, providing durable antistatic protection.
