sh-Polypeptide-1 (Soluble Collagen Hydrolysate)
CAS Number: 9007-34-5
sh-Polypeptide-1 refers to soluble hydrolyzed collagen, produced by enzymatic hydrolysis of animal or marine-derived type I collagen into low-molecular-weight peptide fractions that penetrate the skin and signal fibroblasts to upregulate endogenous collagen synthesis, while also providing excellent film-forming moisturization properties on the skin surface. It improves skin elasticity, moisture, and smoothness measurably. Used at 0.5–5% in anti-aging and moisturizing formulations.
