Ceramide AP (Ceramide 6-II)
CAS Number: 41248-23-1
Ceramide AP (Ceramide 6-II) is an alpha-hydroxy acid substituted ceramide naturally present in the skin's stratum corneum, contributing to the maintenance of the epidermal water barrier and skin structural integrity. It is commonly used in combination with Ceramide NP and EOP to create a balanced multi-ceramide complex mimicking the natural ceramide ratio in healthy skin. Used at 0.01–1% in advanced barrier repair systems.
