Ceramide EOP (Ceramide 1)

CAS Number: 113852-37-2

Ceramide EOP (Ceramide 1) is an acylceramide characterized by a linoleic acid esterified to the omega end of a long-chain fatty acid, and is a critical architectural ceramide in the skin barrier that is significantly depleted in atopic dermatitis and dry skin conditions. Its deficiency is directly linked to increased skin permeability and sensitivity. Used at 0.01–0.5% in advanced barrier restoration formulations targeting eczema and compromised skin.
