EDAB Amine Co-initiator for UV Wood Coatings
CAS Number: 10287-53-3
Ethyl 4-(dimethylamino)benzoate (EDAB) is a tertiary aromatic amine co-initiator designed for use as a synergist with Type II photoinitiators in UV-curing wood floor and furniture coatings. It enhances surface cure and reduces oxygen inhibition, which is especially critical in matte and pigmented UV wood coatings where silica matting agents and pigments compete for UV light. Delivers improved yellowing resistance compared to aliphatic amine alternatives.
