Ammonium Perchlorate (AP) — 200μm Grade

CAS Number: 7790-98-9

Ammonium perchlorate (NH₄ClO₄) 200μm coarse particle grade is a high-purity solid oxidizer used where a slower burn rate or bimodal particle size blend is required in composite solid propellant formulations. The 200μm coarse fraction is typically blended with 90μm fine AP to achieve target burning rates and mechanical properties. Purity ≥98.8% with the same stringent impurity controls as the fine grade. ⚠️ Export license required — inquire for compliance documentation.

Applications

  • Bimodal AP blending for composite solid rocket propellant (CSRP) burn rate optimisation
  • Slow-burning propellant charges requiring coarser oxidizer fraction
  • Gas generators and solid-fuelled ramjet applications
  • Pyrotechnic delay and igniter compositions
  • Propellant research: oxidizer packing studies and rheology optimisation

Key Features

  • High purity ≥98.8% NH₄ClO₄ — same specification as fine grade, coarser particle cut
  • 200μm coarse grade for bimodal blending with 90μm fine AP to tune burn rate
  • Ultra-low iron ≤0.0036% — prevents catalytic decomposition
  • Controlled TCP 0.15–0.22% — consistent ballistic performance
  • Export compliance documentation available upon request
