Polyurea (Diurea) Grease Thickener

Polyurea (diurea) grease thickeners are formed in-situ by the reaction of diisocyanates with amines during grease manufacturing. The resulting non-soap thickener network provides superior high-temperature stability, with dropping points exceeding 250°C, making polyurea greases the standard choice for electric motor bearings and high-temperature industrial applications. Polyurea greases also exhibit excellent oxidative stability due to the absence of metallic soap, making them preferred in sealed-for-life bearing applications.

Applications

  • Electric motor and generator bearing greases (sealed-for-life)
  • High-temperature conveyor and oven chain bearing applications
  • Automotive alternator, starter motor, and water pump bearings
  • Industrial spindle bearings in machine tools
  • High-speed rolling element bearings requiring long service life

Key Features

  • Exceptional high-temperature performance with dropping points >250°C for demanding bearing applications
  • Superior oxidation resistance versus soap-based greases for extended sealed-bearing service life
  • Non-toxic and halogen-free thickener chemistry compatible with food-grade applications
  • Excellent structural stability prevents bleed and phase separation under centrifugal forces in high-speed applications
