Leather Degreasing Agent
Leather degreasing agents are surfactant-based formulations used in the beamhouse and wet-end operations to remove natural fats, grease, and lipids from animal hides and skins. Insufficient degreasing leads to uneven dyeing, spew (fat bloom on the surface), and poor adhesion of finishing coats. Degreasing agents typically combine nonionic and anionic surfactants to emulsify and solubilize fat into the processing liquor.
