Fumarate Copolymer Pour Point Depressant

Fumarate ester copolymers are non-PMA pour point depressants that are particularly effective in Group I base oils and paraffinic stocks where PMA performance is limited. They are also used as wax crystal modifiers in diesel fuel and middle distillate additives. Their mechanism involves co-crystallization with wax, preventing the formation of continuous wax networks that restrict low-temperature flow. These products are valuable as pour point depressants in residual fuel oils and heavy bunker fuel treatments.
