Glycolic Acid (Cosmetic Grade)

CAS Number: 79-14-1

Glycolic acid is the smallest and most potent alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA), derived originally from sugarcane, with the deepest skin penetration of all AHAs due to its low molecular weight. It is the benchmark exfoliating acid in cosmetic formulations, effectively loosening intercellular bonds to remove dead skin cells, improve skin texture, stimulate collagen, and reduce hyperpigmentation. Used at 2–10% in leave-on products and up to 70% in professional peels.
