CO2 pH Adjustment System for Water Treatment
Carbon dioxide (CO2) injection is an environmentally preferred method for reducing pH in reverse osmosis pre-treatment, potable water remineralization, and alkaline wastewater neutralization. CO2 dissolves in water to form carbonic acid, gently and controllably depressing pH without the risk of overdosing to excessively acidic conditions. It replaces mineral acid in many sensitive applications.

Applications
- RO pre-treatment pH depression replacing sulfuric acid
- Post-RO remineralization: CO2 and lime for alkalinity balance
- Alkaline industrial effluent neutralization
- Swimming pool pH depression
- Soil and irrigation water pH correction
Key Features
- Safe and gentle pH adjustment — eliminates risk of acid overdosing
- No added ions — ideal for ultra-pure water and pharmaceutical water
- Automated pH control via mass flow controller and pH feedback loop
- Lower hazard than mineral acids — no corrosive liquid handling
