Cocoamide MEA (CMEA)

CAS Number: 68140-00-1

Cocoamide MEA (CMEA) is a solid nonionic surfactant derived from coconut oil and monoethanolamine, providing foam stabilization and viscosity enhancement in surfactant systems. Unlike CDEA, CMEA is solid at room temperature and contains no free diethanolamine, making it preferred in formulations where DEA impurities are restricted. It is widely used in bar soaps, solid cleansers, and high-viscosity liquid formulations.
