Alpha Olefin Sulfonate (AOS)
CAS Number: 68439-57-6
Alpha olefin sulfonate (AOS) is a mild anionic surfactant derived from sulfonation of alpha olefins, providing excellent foaming, detergency, and biodegradability. It performs well in hard and cold water and is less irritating to skin than SLES. AOS is increasingly used in premium personal care and household cleaning formulations as a greener alternative.
