Methylisothiazolinone (MIT) is a broad-spectrum industrial biocide used in cooling water, paper mill white water, and industrial process water to control bacteria, algae, and fungi. It is effective against sulfate-reducing bacteria (SRB) and acts by disrupting cellular enzyme function. Supplied as aqueous solution for easy liquid dosing.
