Chitosan (Agrochemical Grade) Elicitor Biostimulant

CAS Number: 9012-76-4

Chitosan is a deacetylated chitin polymer derived from crustacean shells, used in agriculture as a biostimulant, plant defense elicitor, and seed treatment agent. It activates plant systemic acquired resistance (SAR) against fungal and bacterial pathogens, promotes root development, and enhances nutrient uptake. As a biodegradable natural polymer approved for organic farming, chitosan is increasingly used in integrated crop management programs to reduce synthetic pesticide inputs while maintaining crop health.
