Leather Fatliquor
CAS Number: 8002-43-5
Leather fatliquor is a sulfated or sulfited oil emulsion that is essential for lubricating and softening leather fibers during the wet-end processing stage, preventing leather from becoming stiff and brittle after drying. It penetrates between collagen fibers and deposits a thin lubricant film that maintains fiber mobility and leather suppleness.
