Sulfite-Based Leather Softener

CAS Number: 61789-86-4

Sulfite-based leather softener is a sulfonated fish or vegetable oil derivative that provides excellent lubricating and softening action in leather wet processing. The sulfite groups ensure strong affinity and fixation to the collagen fiber matrix while the oil portion lubricates inter-fiber surfaces, resulting in soft, supple, and flexible finished leather. Widely used in garment leather, gloving leather, and other soft leather productions.
