Caustic SDS Alkaline Membrane Cleaner

A blended alkaline membrane cleaning formulation combining sodium hydroxide (NaOH) and sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) surfactant, designed for CIP removal of organic fouling, biofilm, and silica deposits from RO, NF, and UF membranes. The alkaline pH saponifies fats and hydrolyzes proteins while the anionic surfactant disperses and removes biological and organic foulants.

Applications

  • RO membrane organic and biofouling CIP cleaning
  • UF and MF membrane protein and biofilm removal
  • NF membrane silica and organic deposit cleaning
  • Food and beverage membrane fouling removal
  • Periodic biocide pre-soak for membrane sanitization

Key Features

  • Dual mechanism: alkaline saponification plus surfactant dispersion for biofouling
  • SDS surfactant penetrates and disrupts biofilm matrix
  • Effective silica deposit removal at elevated pH and temperature
  • Safe on polyamide TFC membranes when used at recommended pH and temperature
