Polyoxyethylene Tallow Amine (POEA)

CAS Number: 61791-26-2

Polyoxyethylene tallow amine (POEA) is a non-ionic surfactant and adjuvant widely formulated with glyphosate herbicide to enhance foliar absorption and weed control efficacy. It functions as a cell membrane disruptor that accelerates active ingredient uptake, increasing herbicide translocation within the plant. POEA is a key component in most commercial glyphosate IPA salt and ammonium salt formulations.
