Detergent-grade protease (subtilisin) is a serine endoprotease produced by fermentation of Bacillus strains, specifically engineered for stability and performance in alkaline detergent conditions. It effectively hydrolyzes protein-based stains such as blood, grass, egg, and dairy at low wash temperatures, enabling excellent stain removal at 30–40°C. Available as granulated, encapsulated form for easy incorporation.
