Sodium Cumene Sulfonate (SCS)
CAS Number: 28348-53-0
Sodium cumene sulfonate (SCS) is a highly efficient hydrotrope that increases the solubility of surfactants and other organic compounds in water, preventing phase separation and maintaining product clarity. It is used at lower concentrations compared to SXS, offering cost advantages in high-active detergent formulations. SCS also acts as a coupling agent in disinfectant concentrates.
