Sodium dichloroisocyanurate (SDIC) is a water-soluble, fast-dissolving chlorine disinfectant containing approximately 60–64% available chlorine. It releases hypochlorous acid rapidly in solution, providing fast and effective disinfection. SDIC is widely used in effervescent disinfectant tablets for surface disinfection, drinking water treatment, food-contact surface sanitation, and hospital infection control.
