Tetrahydrofuran (THF)

CAS Number: 109-99-9

Tetrahydrofuran (THF, ≥99.9%) is a cyclic ether solvent with exceptional solvency for PVC and most engineering polymers, complete water miscibility, and a fast evaporation rate. It is widely used in PVC pipe adhesives, polymer dissolution and coating, lithium battery electrolytes, Grignard reactions, and as a raw material for PTMEG (polytetramethylene ether glycol) production.
